I'm also shocked by the poor reviews I'm reading. I absolutely love my Icarus flatware!!! We've had them since June and have had no problems with spotting or rust. We wash them in the dishwasher all the time with no special attention. I especially love the smooth feel and weight of the pieces. I've never felt any rough edges. We even had guests who went out and purchased their own set after using ours. I would definitely shop around though. We paid less than half the price shown here. As an aside, I was able to find a set of 8 steak knives made by Henckels International that was almost identical to the Icarus pattern.
